Emergency & Safety Training

Are your staff and contractors as capable as they might be in terms of safety? Are your people prepared if a crisis occurs?

It is our mission to improve the emergency preparedness and response of people in New Zealand’s workplaces, especially in high-risk and industrial environments.

We offer both general and highly specialised training to equip your staff or contractors for risk management and emergency response.

At your business, for your business

We bring our trainers and specialist equipment to your workplace and customise our programmes accordingly. We believe not in simply helping customers tick a box in terms of training requirements, but in delivering hands-on workshops and assessments that are tailored to the outcomes you require, the unique risks presented by a site or role and the current skill level of individuals.

Frontline experience

Our trainers are skilled emergency response practitioners, highly experienced across fire and rescue, health and safety, security, emergency first response (medical) and forestry sectors.

Qualified to help

Our NZQA accredited subsidiary company Industry Training Works Ltd has consent to assess and delivers NZQA unit standards leading to nationally recognised qualifications.

We are also a pre-qualified CPNZ contractor, the new pan-industry ‘seal of approval’ for contractors. New Zealand’s captains of industry now insist on CPNZ pre-qualification.

EMS was the first emergency response company in New Zealand to be pre-qualified to the new CPNZ best-practise standard, and achieved a very high CPNZ score.

We are members of EMQUAL – the body that governs New Zealand’s Emergency Management Qualifications. Fellow members include the New Zealand Defence Force, New Zealand Fire Service, Royal New Zealand Coastguard, etc. We are one of only a few private organisations who are members.
